Sporting CP have released a full financial breakdown for the deal that has seen Bruno Fernandes leave for Manchester United.
The two clubs finally agreed a long-awaited deal for the Portugal international on Wednesday after a drawn-out transfer saga which included reports of Barcelona also showing an interest. United confirmed later on Thursday that Fernandes’ contract will last five-and-a-half years, with the option to extend by a further year.

Man Utd confirmed they had reached an agreement with Sporting CP for Fernandes on Wednesday.
The deal will cost the Red Devils an initial £46.5m.
A further £21m will be payable to Sporting CP in add-ons.
These include player participation bonuses, individual player prize bonuses and another £4.2m dependant on Untied’s performance in the Champions League.
Fernandes managed eight goals and seven assists in 17 league appearances for Sporting prior to the move.
Fernandes’ transfer is subject to a medical but the midfielder does have a chance of making the United squad for this weekend’s fixture against Wolves.
“Let’s get the contract signed and medical done but the boy is fit and ready to play, I would presume. Let’s see if we can get it done tomorrow,” Solskjaer responded on Thursday when asked if his new signing would feature at the weekend.
According to an official Sporting CP statement, the Red Devils have paid an initial €55m (£46.5m), with a further €25m (£21m) available in add-ons.
These include up to €5m (£4.2m) subject to player participation, €5m (£4.2m) dependant on United’s performance in the Uefa Champions League and a further €15m (£12.6m) related to individual player prizes.
Sporting CP say an extra €5.5m (£4.6m) will be paid by United to cover “intermediation services”.
