I have seen the topic but it does hardly paint a fair picture. First off, the loot shown is not complete. Items such as halberd, small diamond and gold coin are not considered despite them making up for 13,5% of the entire chimera loot. Furthermore, the sample size is simply way to small. I added up all the loot they got and only considered the NPC price (keep in mind that certain items such as ancient sword will sell for a lot more than 40k) and they have looted 550k. Adding up all the items including lootbag items such as halberd and items they were simply too unlucky to loot, they should have looted more than twice than that. Granted, it would still have been some waste for them to hunt there but this is very much intended. The monster drops some unique items and is important for any paladin wanting to hunt ogres, which is a very popular spawn. Those skinning products will therefore massively increase in price if people consider it not worth hunting chimeras. My goal is to give almost every creature we add a purpose to be killed. Just looking at how much exp or profit you can make off a monster results in people always only hunting the best spawns. That's why quests like the foreign lands quest exist which force you to hunt chimeras which you usually might not want to.
