Dear players,
We are very distressed about recent behavior of some players on Tibianic. Our community is small and when players decide to destroy our tiny world here, it appears they are able to do so when they do have the negative energy and possibility. First of all, we like to apologize towards our long-term players for having failed to see this kind evolvement last months, maybe even years.
Apparently, during the administration of CM Doyle, rule violations such as macro usage and multi clienting were enforced on a good scale but account trading and sharing were disregarded and due to the reason that CM Doyle possibly was hired as a player, he had sustainable relationships to the players in-game. We do love that he actually cares for players and talks a lot to them, however, maybe he was too weak to enforce rules on his friends or simply not able to. In the end it is not his sole fault, we did fail to enforce account trading rule, too. This way, some people who aim on experiencing some kind imperative gaming experience, were able to establish what they call “teams” by buying massively characters from neutral players and establish by these monetary domination their own world order. A hierarchic system where they feel superior towards other players because they have spent much real money on buying characters, runes and cash. In fact their imperative demand for power and reign in an online game did cost us valuable players in the past and present and eventually in the future, too.
Please do not judge us too hard for our failures, we run this game and in the end we have the full responsibility. Therefore, we were always afraid to ban players because of destructive behavior as we are supporting the freedom of players on Tibianic. Finally, we are a pvp-server and finally we want to encourage players to use their achievements to defend themselves against players who are opponents. However, it appears that CM Doyle’s and our failure in the past to punish account trading and sharing in a systematic manner outbalances the power on Tibianic.
Yesterday a group of players started to random kill everyone online for no reason just to prove that they do have the power and that no player in-game can stand up against them as they are too many and too high levels. In fact, we responsible as we did allow them to achieve this position, too. Tibianic community is trapped in the dilemma of being a pvp server dominated by one group of players who did achieve their position by cheating and are therefore unbeatable for the majority of players.
Lastly, Tibianic staff runs a business. This business is established by trust and customer loyalty. We always attempt to have a friendly relationship to all players on our server. Nevertheless, players should never forget that we are admins and not players. Last days a group of players tried to put some serious pressure on us. Close to all staff members experienced threats to destroy Tibianic, threats to be attacked in real and other insults. Let us sum our feelings up about this:
We do not accept this kind of behavior. We protect our staff members and we see absolutely no reason why someone would be rightful to threat or insult us because of an online game. We are a legal firm and we will act like one.
In consequence, we deleted today numerous players for destructive behavior. Once again, we are really sorry for having allowed this to happen and we promise everyone to be from now on more into the rule enforcement of Tibianic. Thank you for playing our server and hopefully, we all will continue to have a good time.
